Rockin Through the Ages Family Disco and Chloe's Big Shave

Hi Everyone! I am organising a 'Rocking through the Ages' family disco fundraiser, to raise money for the McGrath Foundation. It will be an alcohol free event aimed at families, as breast cancer affects all members of a family. The event will be held Saturday, November 29th, 2014, at the Scone High School Multi Purpose Unit, from 7-11pm. As well as a night of dancing for all, with music from across the decades, my daughter, Chloe Green, 12, will be shaving her head. Yes! She will be shaving off all her gorgeous, red hair! She will donate her ponytail to 'Wigs for Kids', with all monies raised from her shave and this page, going directly to the McGrath Foundation. Every dollar makes a difference and your donation will help the McGrath Foundation place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia, and to increase breast awareness in young Australian women. To date, we have placed 87 McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia, who together have helped support over 21,000 families experiencing breast cancer.
100% of all donations will be donated to the McGrath Foundation and you will automatically receive a tax-deductible via email.

McGrath Foundation
The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses right across Australia and invest in their professional development to ensure people with breast cancer receive the highest standard of care.McGrath Breast Care Nurses are registered nurses specially trained to manage the care of people with breast cancer from diagnosis and throughout treatment.The Foundation currently funds 233 nurses who provide essential support for families by offering medical expertise, clinical care, and psychosocial support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment - for free and without a referral.Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer for women in Australia and more than 20,000 people are diagnosed each year. With a rising rate of diagnosis, the need for more McGrath Breast Care Nurses continues to grow.Funding from the community helps ensure our nurses can continue providing free support to families impacted by breast cancer right across Australia.
